1.
this is to the ones i hurt and lost and those that i let go and to the one whose grace has left this world conflict of mind and of heart the harshest lessons are taught by the gut do you still see my self-stained slate or have i wiped it blank?
2.
i hide my self-loathing you wax poetic your pain you words slices through, cuts me down your ink turned by my hand so revise me out and i’ll understand that choice maybe it will heal and suit your needs and i’ll take my place in the fade because ‘see you around’ means something else so revise me out
3.
i didn’t want what you thought i wanted most certainly not at that goddamn time but your habits developed to wanton disregard my well of effort steeps down and up and empty pail so i’ll cut the rope cut line
4.
bent timing 01:50
timing felt like one step forward, two steps back and with each dance, that street was left cracked and bent hindsight is the best relief but my hindsight can stir the pain i recognize my own faults, but still contend that somethings are a two-way street
5.
your voice still echoes your modern flaxen hair carved deep in my bones i miss our crimson fire unbeknownst to words i still adore your mark and the memories that you left me forty-eight hours in the dark and the reaper’s scythe quashes me the distance it takes to you now makes me weep so until that day when o’s turn to hyphens if anything were to bend my beliefs it’s the hope to see your eyes in my dreams
